I think a Vietnamese Australian they shunted. Doubt she was a moslem. But if you asked someone where there were from without looking at them and they said Fairfield, the first ethnicity you would ask if they were would be Viet.

At state level the ALP have got a good one in Jihad Dib. (Moslem and politician) But he’s in a neighbouring seat, I think Tony Burkes.

Which has one of the highest concentrations of Moslems in the country.(mainly Bangladeshi and Lebanese I think)

Btw is it Moslem or Muslim?

Despite Gladys being trumpeted as a vote winner, Lib and Nat seats were lost in the last State election ( one to Helen Dalton of Shooters Fishers and Farmers).
IIRC the LNP majority in the House went down to one after Ward went to cross bench, now a minority govt with the by election loss. Maybe need Dalton to stay in power?

So you guys all getting offered big bucks, what would you expect as a reasonable pay increase? Should it be close to CPI +- a bit depending on performance?

Been busy with the kids in iso for last week so I haven’t been following closely. For those who have been following, please tell me that the governments despicable politicking with the death of Senator Kitching is not gaining any traction.

Fairfield mostly in McMahon ( Chris Bowen) and Zangari in Fairfield State electorate ( Italian heritage, former schoolteacher, active in Catholic parish)

No, 1001 Nights.
Waiting for the next slogan, could be the genie’s out of the bottle.

So your trying to say it’s therefore totally fine to parachute in a ex premier who presided over the most corrupt bunch of bastards since the rum corps?

An American to boot, that’s basically there because of who she married and who she would say yes too?

They made a live-action movie a couple of years ago. Very disappointing. I loved that show as a kid.

She was brought up in Seppoland, her father’s country, but her mother is Australian.

I stick to the facts.
NSW Premier predecessor resigned in disgrace, her Deputy quit politics. The Premier before Gladys resigned after an IBAC appearance.
Not aware that Keneally has been brought before IBAC.
Rum Corps lives in NSW

One of the iron laws of Australian politics is that the NSW branch of every party is the worst, most machiavellian, most backbiting, and most corrupt.

I actually don’t give a crap what you think, unless you are a Labor Member in Parramatta and then I would listen

Well then that’s nice you could not hit reply to my posts then!

Coincidentally, having a discussion today about corruption in Australian politics, it was noted how quick SA and Qld are to nip it in the bud with their politicians - SA does not want to go back to the Playford era, or Qld to Joh’s.

Keneally was put in after Rees got the sack.

Rees was given the power to pick his own and kicked the scum out. Eg Joe Tripodi.

Joe and Eddie Obeid got their own back when Rees was rolled and well.

ICAC highlighted the rest and that’s history.

Keneally was a puppet she got in power after the numbers men in the nsw right undermined Nathan Rees.

Hopefully she gets nowhere close to running the country.

Thankfully Labor have a few other good operators.

I think everything is going to be a bit weird over the next few years. We’re into what I kind of imagined a post war era to be.

Keneally was last one still standing in a Government guaranteed to lose the next election.
Poisoned chalice there.

Apart from SA passing a bill in the blink of an eye only recently that will reduce the powers of the state’s ICAC

Let’s see if Malinauskas repeals it.
