When the country’s poorest people had to immediately pay the government several hundred dollars they didn’t have.
Which resulted in several suicides.
Based on a computer error.
Correcting that error, the PM says the government can’t afford to pay it all back at once.
The government couldn’t abide by the same rules it placed on the poorest people in the country.

Worth noting when you think about the economy is that currently there’s a lot of economists who don’t seem to know what to make of it.
But one thing is really bad. Excess Inflation.
And it’s extremely bad news for a society under huge amounts of public and private debt.
Inflation is gonna be a horrible word for a while is my current thoughts.

Hawke/Keating Government introduced compulsory super ( against LNP opposition and with compromises) so the likes of scotty21 would not be faced with a massive tax burden to support pensioners living way beyond the three score years and ten.

He’s got a different view from different experiences and been exposed to different people. It’s not a bad thing.

David Campbell on Twitter refers to the reception he got, but not that it fusses the ABC and in particular the excruciating Jane Norman, who finds herself incapable of ever reporting anything favourable towards ALP.
She needs to get out more and mix with people outside her LNP mates.
