I don’t think we should be poking the bear but China is incapable of controlling Taiwan, I think we will be ok in that regard. Financially though is another story
If China nuked Canberra when Parliament is sitting it would be a massive favour to the rest of Australia.

We’d be better off with a fleet of drones, but we’ve stopped that program. Preparing for war by giving half our GDP to the American military industry for 2045 ready hardware we don’t actually have any use for and you could almost guarantee won’t arrive on time or functioning without regular millions further in US maintenance. Well beyond anything Joseph Heller might’ve dreamt up, but very much lagging in the wit department
