Within such groups parroting these views, for sure - perhaps not the general population.
It’s ironic that right wing conservatives are trying to construct echo chambers and safe spaces because their views are so hopelessly out of touch, after a decade of complaining about ‘left wing snowflakes’ doing the same.

Barilaro names two of his three referees ( senior public servant and Arthur Sinodinis) but the name of the third referee, Barry O’Farrell, had to be dragged out of hm.
I can’t work out why the secrecy on O’Farrell.

This would be funny if it wasn’t so tragic.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy seeing the Vic LNP crash and burn. But…
the more they seem to embarrass themselves, the more rope the Vic ALP gets, and they can start being more and more blatant in abusing power with fewer consequences.
I don’t think this is particularly good for Victoria, or the politics within the state.

ABC so Sydney centric that we get all the dirt in NSW politics beamed live ( and its connection to Fed LNP) , but only passing references to alleged misdeeds in other States.

A hopeless opposition is terrible for good government and good governance. It makes holding the government to account impossible.

What’s the connection with the timing of his resignation and that of Gladys?
The guy who shot those three people up in outback Qld last week looks to have been a sovereign citizen wacko. Must have had an ‘interesting’ record, as the cops took his gun licence off him back in 2010 because he wasn’t ‘a fit and proper person’ but he appealed to the Qld equivalent of VCAT and got it back.

BREAKING: BILOELA FAMILY RECEIVE PERMANENT VISAS
At 2.30pm today the Nadesalingam family, affectionately referred to as the ‘Biloela family’, were visited by the Department of Home Affairs team at their Biloela home and given the news that they have been granted permanent visas.

From all accounts he didn’t have anything explicit for the purposes of denying him guns that other farmers were licensed for.
It is a small remote community where he was an apparent outsider, angry and irrational in behaviour.
it’s like watching a carp flounder about while it slowly dies on dry land
Not just NSW politics. Anything in Snydey gets reported at the expense of local news. The worst is the Snydey Ladies’ Chat Show on ABC at 6.

Umm, haven’t you heard or seen what Murdoch papers and the rest of the commercial media do?

Triple J is exactly the same. Completely ignoring what is happening in live music scenes around Australia, but will pump up anything happening in Sydney.
Meanwhile Melbourne and Brisbane have far bigger, more interesting and thriving live music scenes. And Perth isn’t far behind.

ABC radio in Canberra used to switch to ABC Sydney around 2 pm. Apart from the evening news, all ABC TV was Sydney. ABC TV news channel, erroneously described as the national news, is ABC Sydney. The ACT press gallery tends to focus on NSW MPs.
The ABC is letting it be known that it is putting more into the regions, but it could do more for the capitals other than Sydney.
