Australian Politics -- from June 2023

Because they didn’t know what the answers were until after the voting.

You can’t do that with constitutional change unfortunately unless you want to codify exactly what it is into the constitution (which would be a bad idea). The best policy is designed through the process of parliamentary debate and then changed when the issues are inevitably found.

It was a tricky tactic by Dutton to suggest that the details were required because that’s just not how constitutional change is done. He would have gotten his way on the exact makeup in parliament.

Design principles were public and very clear

Wouldn’t have changed your mind though.

They went to the election with is an election promise, you’d probably complain if they didn’t do it.

Great country, can’t take 5 mins to think of others and say, hey I’m doing it hard, but I’ll help lessen the loads for others, and and take a minutes to thibk about a simple question.

So clear that people voted accordingly.

Please explain why the ACT should get the most out of it. I need the detail to appreciate your psephology.

Yeah we can all party on unification because we all voted accordingly except for those silly Billy’s in the ACT.

So what are the answers with no? Please the floor is yours.

There were so many answers and possibility with a yes.

Bunch of scaredy cats amongst us.

Whole thing was a massive waste of time and money!

So who is waiting patiently in the back ground to stick the knife into Albo’s back now? Wong? Plibersek?

Lots of feral racists in Melton and Sunbury, and sadly in the Marsh.

The answer is we are now unified with how we vote. We all come from different walks of life. We are all different, diverse cultures and a true multicultural society. It is time for the government in power to stand up, go back to work with their tails between their legs, ego folded and actually work for all of their Australian people.

Albo and Labor will not lose one vote from this result.

All the stupid racists just hate black people not Labor.

Haha someone from the Gold Coast whose grasp of Melbourne thinks Hawke has inner city cafes.
Another psephologist emerging from the woodwork.

I think it was useful

No vote will galvanise support for a proper solution eg treaty.

Younger voters skew Yes.

Change happens slowly then all at once.
