I think we were all unified in this decision.
Just like last referendum.
Try thinking alittle bit about which territory made the most out of getting a yes tonight, which territory actually voted majority yes.
Now compare that with what the rest of the nation said.

It was very clear. Sorry you missed it and found an excuse to vote no.

No has got us nowhere. And here we are…again. Winners.

Any vote is not an excuse.

sorry, some people didn’t need an excuse.

That my friend is why you miss the point. Remind yourself tomorrow.

That is your prerogative and I respect that. But based on their reactions to it not getting passed and their openly expressed contempt for Australia, the cheerleaders of this echo chamber have been drinking their own Kool-Aid about this referendum for a bit too long.

Jacinta Price is on the record of wanting them to get out of the town camps in Alice and go back to where they came from (remote communities). Not her exact words.

Kool aid is putting it mildly :rofl:

Where were these ‘design principles’ made explicit to the public?

Ok, just considered need. Turns out the answer is still First Nations people.

That there was no clear definition of what ‘the Voice’ itself was going to be.

Well wow that’s clarity right there.

Consulting body - who was part of it
Elected by indigenous people - which ones from where?
Regional, remote and diverse representation- from which states, territories, how many in proportion to each state?
No program delivery
Funding for research- Funding to research what?
No decision making power
Clear governance framework
Reporting and transparency- when we’re reports going to be made public?
Members subject to national anti corruption commission-i don’t think so Tim

If someone knew something then it wasn’t going to be told until after we voted for it.
Therefore people asked wtf are we voting for, hence tonight’s result done and dusted in less than 3hours after closing.

Why were these ‘design principles’ not made more public as to that was exactly what the voice was going to be?
