This is partially due to lack of funding by the government to promote the game locally.
But yes the rest of the world donât stop for this game, we canât afford too.

Gustavsson made some errors.
It was a big mistake to take Polkinghorn off, and expect Carpenter to play Central defender.
The confusion between Hunt and Carpenter for the last goal was evident.

Jeez what a goal by Kerr to bring us back level, was so up and about after that.
But then two horrifically bad defensive efforts that cost us goals
And two clear missed opportunities Kerr might have otherwise normally nailed header and kick wise. So much pressure on her and didnât capitalise
Poms were tough bordering on crude though and so well organised in defence, and clinical when they did get their chances. They are the top ranked team for a reason.
Super dissapointing but also amazing effort by team to get as far as they did
Future teams now need to take the next step

Disappointing performance by the Matties. England were way too good all over the ground, and controlled possession of the ball far better and for longer, they were a class above all game. Both teams had chances, England took theirs in a clinical manner. At 2 - 1 down Kerr misses a goal from 3m out, and a couple of minutes later England scored for 3 - 1. Our defence was deplorable, too easily moved off the ball and not well organized, they lacked pace as well.
