Have been organising some travel for my parents and was speaking to my mother this morning about the itinerary and out of the blue she says “oh by the way one of the Pommy girls playing us today is loosely related to us”
I tried questioning her more on it but she knows absolutely stuff all about soccer and all she could tell me that her name is Georgie or Georgia and thinks she lives and plays overseas now. I know nothing of the the English team so going to go and google the squad and see what I find.

I still have concerns on the Matilda’s defence. Although Hunt has been an absolute revelation for us, and imo has been our player of the series.
Kennedy still has complete brain fades and gives the ball away in dangerous positions. And Carpenter still needs to learn that if she commits forward, either Raso or Gorry need to drop back.
England will press us higher up the pitch, it will leave the Matilda’s very vulnerable to be picked off.
It’ll be intriguing in many ways. Both teams have a strength in breaking on the same side of the pitch, Foord in the left with England running similar attacks on the right. And a lot of them know each well from club level.
