Can someone please explain why that was a red when he was going for the ball? Why not just a yellow? Too technical for me.
Because when looking at it from 10 angles in slow motion made it look dangerous

Studs up. Significant impact to the ankle is dangerous. It’s a red.
EDIT: There was a time when players would ‘accidentally’ injure players while contesting the ball, which is why they penalise it now.

Just like in the AFL where players get rubbed out for 3 weeks for a tackle/bump that was not even given as a free.

I thought it was pretty fair reffing until Korea got ahead.
So many poor calls after that. And 1 minute extra time seems a bit lean.
