Saw big mention on Houli retiring on ABC.
Apart from Betts there is no mention of any other player retiring.
I wonder what the difference is.
Probably their outstanding contributions outside football, I’d guess.

Thanks for your time at Essendon Bachar, pity our Ex coach and richmond reject, Knights that was a poor coach, did not give you the time and games to make you into an elite triple premiership backman that you turned out to be, congrats on your retirement.

He got a raw deal at Essendon and went to Richmond. That was the right decision for him and he was rewarded by playing in 3 premierships – and IMHO was best on ground in 2 of them, although the Norm Smith judges disagreed. An outstanding player and an outstanding human being. (From an outstanding family btw.)

Agree with all of that. On the flip side for Bachar he might have ended up an Essendon great but wouldn’t have got that medal round his neck.
The ABC have been anti us since 2013.
It was almost like the plebs where told to carry the biggest cans or else.
