Expose it and get a true reflection of where weāre at. Our mids are nifty enough to win their own ball. With the right intent they can also bring down guys that their giving an inch or 2 or 10kgs to as well.

Weāve moved on most of the senior players across the past 2 years, and will move on more at the end of this year.
Heās done a bit of it and if he goes harder Iāll back him in.
He really needs to make stronger statements in minimum standards and weeding out the worst culprits. It wasnāt hard decision to move on Gleeson or Hooker last year. This off-season bigger calls need to be made.

Absolutely happy with that. Just need to be honest and say things in this club are a ā ā ā ā ā ā ā mess and have been for a long time.

North is the last team I would be looking at on how to rebuild a list people are questioning their rebuild.
If we are going to do it has to be done in a smart way you canāt have a team full of 18 year olds who would get flogged by 10 goals every week the young talent would want out
We are a young team getting flogged by ten goals every week as it is. Not sure what the difference is.

Need to have a mix of youth and senior experienced players to guide the youngsters if that means we have to trade some in then do it
If Selwood is done at Geelong I would get him for a year even some one like Mundy he might want to move back to Victoria once his career is over
North has done that. Brought in Greenwood and Corr to play with Cunnington and Zeibel so they have some mature leaders. No reason we canāt do similar.
They might look average now but they have amassed a good group of high picks JUH, LDU, Powell, Thomas and Philips. Sure they might have a bust or two but thatās a promising core of a midfield to build around. Although their list seems light on for key position talent they need to address.

Yeah we need senior players. I just donāt particularly rate any of our current ones. If we shipped some off but brought in good leaders cheaply for a few years to teach the kids we would be better off imo.

Shiel is a senior player, and he is shyte.
Established best 22, not sure if there is a defined age. Probably 24+
If I was to come up with a list of whoās above 24 is getting the most out if themselves and I feel confident they play for the team and do the right things on and off field itās a pretty small list.
Maybe Lav, 2MP, Langford and Snelling. Not sure I fully trust anyone else and yes there are some much better players than them in our side.

Smith has already been put up for trade (not Ruttenās fault Dodo gave him 2 years). Shiel seemingly also put up for trade.
Heppellās the tough one. But given how popular he is around the club, itās an entire club decision most likely. So I donāt think Rutten could do it himself anyway
Yep they set much better examples than a lot of our more highly rated and paid players.
