Ben Rutten - Back to the grindstone (Part 2)

Well it wont be the Essendon karma bus during his career.

Edit: Purple is also an idiot

I’ve said this several times before. It is actually statistically harder to have NOT won a final in the past 17 years. So either we’ve been severely unlucky, or we have been completely incompetent.

The latter

  1. Sack Rutten
  2. Put Cara in charge
  3. Tell the players the rest of the year is a testing ground to see who’s willing to play passionate competetive footy without being needed to be asked to do it
  4. Cull the list massively at the end of the year
  5. Bottom out, recruit hard working brutes in the draft plus the Davey twins
  6. Get Hird back

Sacrifice Cutler to the footy gods on an altar at the B&F

Hope that in 5 years from now this has some effect.

From here till then, accept and expect that we are shithouse and embrace the tank.

I think my point was pretty clear…

Only agree with 1, 4 and 5. No way to putting any of the current assistants in as caretakers. They are complicit in the current ■■■■ show we are seeing.

Annual report:

Led by new Senior Coach Ben Rutten and General Manager, Josh Mahoney, we continued to develop a men’s football program that would build talent for the future, deliver a clearly identifiable game style, and display consistent effort every week.

We laid the foundations for a football brand based on three unique values that we felt best depicted successful Essendon teams of the past: hardworking, dependable, and disciplined.

I rekon he’s gone. A few more weeks.

Kudos to our players for quitting on another coach and getting them sacked.

Kudos to Dodo for providing another soft bunch of players.

Already looking forward to fossil and marketing guy embarking on another sham coaching search.

Farking hell that is an epic failure!

Mate, if he can’t get the players to care or select a team that’s does then he’s as bad as they are. I’m glad he’ll be sacked…nothing personal, he’s just clearly completely out of his depth. Some great assistants just should never be senior coaches, history has shown us this many times.

Mate, if I thought any coach would be capable of getting anything other than a sugar hit improvement with this list I would be right there praying for a sacking.

But, there is just decades of evidence to suggest Adrian Dodoro selects soft footballers.

All I foresee is sacking the next coach in 2-3 years when they inevitably do not buy into any sort of defensive scheme.

Rinse …. repeat.

our culture is soft, any hope for any sort of player coming to us is very limited

After what Robbo said about Hird on AFL 360 I want him back as coach. Robbo basicly said Hird wants to redeem him self

robbos such a ■■■■■■■ idiot.

the issue with the club are more glaring than the coach.

theres a ■■■■■■■ culture issue.

Parker will probably retire before we get a proper chance to pay the prick back.
