Ben Rutten - sacked

The world is made up of many people with differing traits of character. For all I know, Ben might smirk but be seething inside and just not display his emotions publicly. I don’t know the man, so I won’t judge.

I do believe though, that an Australian lady was adjuged by the public and ultimately judged guilty by the court and wrongfully sent to prison for not much more than lack of emotion over the loss of her baby to a dingo.

It appears that lack of publicly expected, possibly more common emotions, can be disastrous.

Yep, I’ve just gone and watched the whole thing and you’re right, he just says he will essentially do what’s asked. Which is great.

I initially read it as he wouldn’t fall into line until certain things occurred.

Good Point … and when our players were seen smiling and joking with the Opposition after a loss … they were probably actually hating their guts on the inside … we just couldn’t see it.

um, techincally no one ■■■■■■■ leads at the club, so it’s not necessarily a him problem.

We’re getting Nathan Buckley?

With all due respect @Snoopy, I think there is enough evidence to say that those adjectives you’ve used to describe toxic, they currently exist at Tullamarine.

I don’t understand the redman as captain suggestions.
it’s his first break out season this year, yes he attacks it hard, but he’s a half back flanker and his good form is based on getting the ball in the backline of the 3rd worst performed defence that has little to no accountability and who are seemingly instructed to get ahead of the play, again as backman (not a slight on him as they are all seemingly instructed to do that).
he’s had some woeful games prior to this season however.

you’d want to be making damn sure this is the consistent level of output you’re gonna get from him over a sustained period,as well as improved efforts defensively(him and the side as a whole) to make him captain, and not merely a great isolated season again in a season where players have been running around gathering stats like it’s park footy with no care in the world.

With all due respect … I agree that is the case now … but for the majority of his tenure it appeared to be a love fest of tree huggers.

I get the sarcasm, but the truth of the matter is - different people have different responses to shared experiences.

I think you might need to insert “May” in there.
Statistically speaking you might find that a majority of people have very similar reactions to one another.
Perhaps the Outliers have unusual and very different responses to stress.
Such as lindy Chamberlain.

So just got this inside scoop.

I’ve heard that the reason the players weren’t able to execute the game plan is due to the training facility being too close to the airport. Apparently the fumes from the planes have caused some serious health issues and the noise pollution has effected the players ability to hear.

This is from a reliable source within the club.

True.
Let’s insert “may” into that sentence.

Emotions:
After walking out of a picture theater holding hands with your girlfriend/wife after being hounded into watching that chic flick, there’s going to be two very differing emotions about the shared event I would reckon.

I know, because I went to see “Out of Africa” once.

LOL.
I worked on the tarmac at Tulla for 17-years, that explains everything.

I dunno. It’s kind of upsetting.

That’s what Flying_Nino would have said too.

I’ll make my predictions for who will coach where:

Essendon - Clarkson
North - Hinkley
Port - Kingsley
GWS - Yze

Mable the Clarkson delay is convincing NMFC to embrace a move to Tasmania. Media jumping at EFC shadows

Rutten to stay. Young coach, young team. Statistically about right.
