Archie has most definitely developed.
Zach had a rough time last year as he was out with illness and hasn’t had much of a crack this year.
Nik Cox has been injured this year as well, however not super happy about him playing on the wing. He’s definitely gone backwards.

There is a downside to Clarkson.

Hit the nail on the head. Simple answer would be to read out the older guys who can’t follow instructions.
We need to get creative one of parish, Shiel, stringer or McGrath need to go.
Truck has been great with the kids.
Add to that our soft tissue injuries, fitness and medical staff who constantly can’t get guys on the park.
The Messiah couldn’t fix that
One area though like Worsfold he keeps backing the same dead horses who can’t produce. Won’t even make it look like there is selection pressure

With Clarkson still technically contracted to hawthorn, when is the earliest he can sign with someone?
I don’t think people understand that if Clarko comes in, there is going to be a clean out. He isn’t going to keep the same team.

If he’s been told then the club should also inform its members that Rutten will be paid out his last year but will coach out the last game. Remove this stupid fkg speculation. Whichever way you want to look at it, it’s been cocked up massively.

Yeah that’s a big thing for me.
He lacks the presence and the command of the room that a coach should have IMO. Unfortunately he’s a very underwhelming and uninspiring communicator.
There are other coaches who you wouldn’t exactly say are polished or outstanding communators in the classical sense but they make up for it with their authenticity, their body language, the intent that they convey, maybe even a dry wit.
Yes none of us have been in the inner sanctum but I don’t imagine what we see from the videos the club releases or the pressers are chalk and cheese from how he communicates at the club on a day to day basis.
Then there’s the tactical side of things. Which don’t look great. Even if they were great in theory, there is a disconnect with the playing group that hasn’t resolved.
