Yep, like that.
Yeah posted it in the other thread but Thought I’d drop it here as well.
Love the idea of Draper busting into the side. Not sure it will be round 1.
Yep… I’m hoping he makes it by the bye. 4 or 5 VFL games to get up to speed
I’m sure he will take time to get back from injury.
But I have little doubt he is our best ruck option.
It’s gotta be Brisbane.
The grudge match, as big Tommy Cutler goes up against his former team.
Gonna get heated.

Hoping he gets a decent amount of games. We should be going for a top 4 position. Will be interesting to see if he’s up to feeding our mids consistently and then playing the secondary roles enough across the season. Gotta get the kid started one way or another. Hope he comes back from his injury in top shape. Someone that size with his mobility is rare as hen’s teeth. Needs to learn how to play a bit part as a forward too at AFL level.
Clearly not enough Riccardi In these teams
In Jake Riccardi
Out Jaydn Laverde
When does the AFL schedule come out?
B: Gleeson, Hurley, Redman
HB: Saad, Hooker, McKenna
C: McGrath, Shiel, Smith
HF: Zaharakis, Daniher, Stringer
F: Fantasia, McKernan, Walla
R: Bellchambers, Heppell, Merrett
Int: Francis, Ambrose, Cutler, Parish
Emerg: Langford, Draper, Guelfi
Pazza!!!
I do like that you have Smith on a wing.
I don’t like both Ambrose and Francis on the bench. I reckon that means your playing 8 defenders and that’s one too many in my opinion, which puts off the balance of the side.
I haven’t had a go at this for ages, and havent read any of the above (so not to prejudice my opinion), so be kind!
B - Ambrose Hurley Francis
HB - Saad Hooker McKenna
C - McGrath Parish Fantasia
HF - Stringer Daniher Smith
F - Tippa McKernan Guelfi
R - Bellchambers Shiel Merrett
I - Heppell Clarke Cutler Redman
E - Zaharakis Gleeson Laverde
Dyl Clarke, gee wiz, I don’t see it.
I see it.
Brave starting Heppell on the bench. Not a great look for the captain.
I think that Shiel, Merrett and Parish is probably our best centre square combo. Heppell’s not a wingman, so I can’t start him there, he’s not a resting forward kind of mid so I can’t start him there, and there isn’t exactly room for him at half back with Saad, McKenna and Francis!
I think it’s really about whether you think Hooker, Ambrose, Hurley and Francis can play in the same defence and imo it won’t work most of the time. I’d play Hooker forward and use Daniher as the second ruckman, Smack then misses out. I’d continue with McGrath’s as a wing/mid even though he is a better defender and I’d certainly use Heppell as the general at the stoppages. TBell gets the nod round 1 as long as he has had reasonable preparation. I’d give Cutler the first month because why not, we don’t have natural wingman outside young Ham. The rest kind of pick themselves. There is depth but not really exciting depth imo.
I’d just prefer to split the 180cm guys when I’m looking at the make up of the centre square rotations. Parish, Stringer and (say) Guelfi … Heppell, Shiel and Merrett…Tippa, Clarke and Smith
