that was awesome thank you

Thanks from me too.

Looks like Jason Bonham on drums.

A few more to add to the list that haven't been mentioned yet, Carmel, Sheila Chandra, Maryam Mursal and Sam Brown. Chandra was in a little known Brit band called Monsoon and they had a decent sized indie hit called.'Ever So Lonely' 20 + years ago, her voice on that is simply divine. Mursal was a refugee from Somalia but look up her album 'The Journey' on Peter Gabriel's Real World Label. Simply it is my all time fave non english language album. Superb stuff.

It's not that they haven't been mentioned, but I've never heard of them.

Speaking of divine... Its not rock as such, but what a voice!

That clip of Ann Wilson doing Stairway to Heaven made me go get some more.

Those girls do a pretty fair rendition of Black Dog too.

He's definitely got his father's talent. If you like blues infused rock, check out his work with Black Country Communion. Joe Bonomassa on guitar, Glenn Hughes (has been in different incarnation of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple) on bass/vocals and someone on keys who I'm not familiar with.

Pure rock?

She'd always be in the "after netball...in the carpark...no shower" class after a performance.

Johnette Napolitano (Concrete Blonde - what a stage presence)

Trish Young/Jodi Phillis (the lasses from the Clouds -  what a *mighty* band they were)

Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders - one of the best debut albums by anyone...ever)

Chrissie Amphlett (Divinyls - what an album "Desperate" is... RIP!)

Kate Bush (what a voice!)

Tori Amos (brilliant debut album... then disappeared into a never-ending soup of self-produced sameness)

Annalisse Morrow (The Numbers/Maybe Dolls - and she played the bass... drool...)

Alison Moyet (Yazoo - takes a special voice to make cold electronica seem somehow warm)

Nina Persson (Cardigans - a *lot* more powerful than people who only know "Lovefool" would expect)

Stevie Nicks
