My hazy memory recalls we used to get fig roll biscuits in a similar style. Canā€™t recall brand.

Scotch fingers. Or better, scotch shortbreads in a round tin.
Tim tams are great - I reckon the ā€˜overratedā€™ thing is just because they are so popular.

But if you donā€™t mind whipping stuff up these are pretty good

Blast from the past: im the ā€˜80sā€™90s there were some bran type biscuit with a really chewy blob of ā€˜jamā€™ (apricot?) embedded in the top. They were kind of European or health food. Does anyone know what they were? Itā€™s up there with Return of the Jedi Icy pole as a memory.

Scotch Fingers (Which I despised)
Short Bread Creams (Which I liked)
