Yes. Quite simple.
Redman had all eyes on the ball and made a legitimate play at the ball. No free kick.
Close had no eyes for the ball and impeded Redman’s play on the ball. Free kick to Redman.
It was a bad run by the umps in the last 10mins who obviously have aome money on Jezza kicking 100. But we had the rub for the game as a whole, so doesn’t matter.

Did anyone notice that all the reports of him were labelled as “ex-AFLumpire”, “former AFL umpire” etc? At the time those photos were taken HE WAS AN ACTUAL REAL FULLY CERTIFIED AFL UMPIRE AND GIVEN ALL THE PROTECTION THAT DESCENDS THEREFROM!!!
