My favourite was the non 50 when their player got so close to Redman? they basically run into him when running past. Normally you go within 5 metres it’s a 50 but tonight 5cm was ok.

The last kick to the top of the square, 2MP’s jumper was stretched about 4 feet as he contested the mark, no free. Umpiring was ■■■■■■■ woeful. Every single questionable decision went the Saints way. Even the commentators saw it.

They are under strict instructions to “keep the ball moving” therefore it now doesn’t matter if you just throw the ball out of a tackle or contest.

Do the AFL actually watch replays of games and review the umpires or do they just tick them off and move on?
They seem to never be held to account no matter how bad they are.

And they are the worst in both fields which makes them pretty bad.
It’s not even a conspiracy anymore, it’s blatant theft.
When the basics of the game such as throws, pushes, htb ect are being called wrong so often something needs to desperately change.

I’m still in disbelief at the Guelfi free against in the last quarter against Tauru. Tauru does most of the escalating before Guelfi gives him a gentle arm in the back as the players are moving back to their positions. The umpire pays the free against Guelfi, then when Tauru does 3 times worse in retaliation, the free isn’t even reversed.
