I thought there were 3 FA us in Q1 that were all dubious. I don’t think she understands the nuances of ruckwork, but to be fair probably nobody apart from the ruckmen do.
I started calling her Sarah at one stage as I think she hates us that much. But woeful is probably more apt.
I really like what many of the women who are part of Fox bring to the footy broadcast, and I thought Daisy Pearce was astute on Ch 7 at special comments. There really is no need to give tokens to eleni and kelly ‘that voice is killing me’ undertaker.

The sad thing is eventually some flog at the ground will probably make a really super misogynistic comment which will get picked up by the media and turn into a circus. Let’s hope it isn’t an Essendon person who does it.
And that will completely bury the lede, which is that she’s a poor umpire. But she is certainly not any better or worse than most of them.
The worst umpires are the bald umpires. Every single one of them despises us.

The bias is strong with this one. Plus, plenty of her mates.

Also Ross Lyon really does look like the boomer uncle that you keep your kids away from at family functions and will end up divorced and living six months of the year in Thailand with a young local woman who works in a brothel but only on the reception desk because her love for him is pure.

I’m going to get crucified for this, but…
I thought the umps were ok. I hate soft free kicks either way, to me the umps seemed to put whistles away this match. I found my frustration levels were low. Except at the end, but then again draft picks were at the front of my mind, so I’m not complaining.

If they want more umpires on the field they can reduce it back to two in the middle, taking turns at the centre bounce and controlling their own half. Then give the boundary umpires something to do. Like actually umpire.
Allow them to be able to make calls in their quarter slice of the ground, on only OBVIOUS over-ruled calls (otherwise leave it to the central umps). Central umpires miss a hell of a lot around the boundaries because they can’t see it. ■■■■■■ me off when three umpires in the middle cant see an obvious throw and it’s right in front of a boundary umpire, yet they cant call it. Let them call the obvious ones. This would eliminate those annoying 3rd umpire 100 meter away from the play calls also.
The knock on effect would take out one useless central umpire from each game, strengthening the overall talent across the competition, because lets face it, if you could eliminate a third of the central umpiring staff, that can only be a good thing. Oh and make them full time you amateur hour cheap AFL ■■■■■.

Over 10 years ago l called for there to be 4 chumps, each taking a quarter of the ground and being boundary chumps as well. When they are taking boundary throw ins, the nearest chump from another quarter then cycles over to be the field chump, then cycle back to their own area, once the chump throwing the ball in has done so.
I can handle umpires getting throws, holding the balls, high tackles wrong as it generally all happens quickly.
What I can’t handle is an umpire clearly saying “No St.Kikda ruck” and then watching a StKilda player contest the ruck and then waving play on. Thats just incompetence. Should be cannoned.

i tell you what, the afl are ■■■■■■■ lucky essendon is so irrelevant , if they werent the stkilda game would be even more all over the airwaves than the collingwood game is at the moment, 2 or 3 missed frees to collingwood and the world is up in arms, ffs i would be wrapt with only 2 or 3 missed frees against us
