Blatant cheating by umpires - “having a ‘mare tonight” (Part 1)

I hope he takes some video with him off all the free kicks they don’t give us

Already spoken to them last week.

No difference.

Cheating kents on an AFL directive.

I think the HirdMentality at the moment involves burning down AFL House after calling for an umpires meeting

As long as the conversation doesn’t go something like “Sorry hayden, i must remember to tell my boys not to touch the ball until the opposition have had first opportunity”.

Or “Oh I see. So we can spin a player around 4 times without him disposing the ball and it’s play on. It’s only after the 5th time that it’s holding the ball. Gotcha!”

But if you throw them to the ground it’s a free kick against as too forceful.

They don’t need to change the rule they just need to implement correctly.

if you have prior and don’t dispose of it properly it’s holding the ball.
We had around 10 of these not paid to us yesterday. That was the key issue for mine.

“Just to clarify with you Hayden, opposition players shoulders are sacrosanct when we tackle them amirite? So an automatic free kick against us then yeah? Then what about our players backs and heads? Oh! Ok! Same as its always been then? Play on? So no change in that regard? Rightio then, business as usual. Thanks for clearing that up for us. Won’t trouble you again Old boy. Give my love to Gil and the boys…bye bye”…click.

Titus O’Reily’s comments

The Pies may have lost Lynden Dunn and Adam Treloar but their replacements, resplendent in lime green, delivered when it counted, regularly blunting the Bombers momentum.

"Dear AFL

Our fans are not happy with all the stitching up our team has received, but please don’t think that your humble servants at EFC are doing anything other than bending over, waiting your next commands.

Yours in anticipation,
Dan and Woosh."

Over the whole period of 4 quarters, umpires can cost you a game through their bad decision making. I have been thinking after this game that we could have won this game if not for the blatant non free kicks not given to us and for the terrible made decisions against us. There was only 16 points in it but you must also count the up hill battle our players feel when decisions are constantly being paid against them. I am certainly of the opinion that had the umpires been fair in their giving of free kicks we would have been in a better position than losing by 16 points.

This reads like something Fat Tony would say.

When an umpire makes a mistake we say “oh it’s human error”
When a footballer makes a mistake we say “that’s really poor by him, coach won’t be happy”

I guess we’re gonna have another umpire ambassador soon?

I’m tipping we will have a game or two that are very biased in our favour now that we are out of the finals race. Then the AFL can say to us that it is just swings and roundabouts. Sometimes you get a good deal, sometimes you get a bad deal.

I’ve so wanted to make reference to the umpiring to my Collingwood mate but have refrained because it would look like a whinge and add another layer of satisfaction to his already gloating persona.

Looking at the Twitter comments re: Woosha and Richardson talking to the umps, I’m furious because people have another avenue to partake in their favourite AFL pastime of Essendon bashing.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m really happy something is being done about the blatant bias but I’m so piss_d at other supporters going to town on Essendon’s misfortune. The sooner the club becomes footy relevant, wins finals and is despised because of their success the sooner I’ll be at peace with my club and enjoying my footy again.

At least it was worth posting #freekickcollingwood on twitter.
