A big Wedgie over Mirboo North… there were 3 of them, but they always divert once i have pulled over and got out of the car.

A dodgy photo of (I think) a White-throated Needletail Swift as it did a flyby over head. They Can fly at up to 160kph… which makes getting any kind of shot rather difficult. South Gippsland near The Prom

Spotted this Sea Eagle as I was driving along….big BIG bird… it didn’t stick around long after it noticed me unfortunately. I was happy to get some decent shots before it slowly flapped away.

Yes it is. I think it must be a pet that escaped. It now lives happily with the rest of the parrots around my place.

Lovely looking bird! Where do they normally live as I have never seen one before and I have lived in Albury for a loooong time!
It’s an escaped pet. Not native to Australia. Interesting how the native parrots seem to have accepted it.

Yeah, very unusual! Doing wildife rescue in Melbourne, escaped pet exotic parrots tend to have a short lifespan due to mobbing by other birds and difficulties surviving the winter. It can be very stressful trying to find and retrieve them. I’m glad your one is doing well for itself!
