Blitz Metalhead Thread

My taste for Swedish metal is probably more early to mid 2000 Opeth (Blackwater Park, Deliverance, Ghost Reveries), early Bloodbath ( anything with Akerfeldt) even early Entombed (Left hand path).

Soilwork and In flames lost me along the journey. To me it has become a form of modern metal. To me modern metal is a bit repetitive and showcases instrumental virtuosity like a Dream Theater. I find that stuff pretty empty these days.

Giving this album a flogging. Bit of Hetfield in the cleans…So EPIC. From the Inside, The Aisle of Fire and Undercity are my favours

Also enjoying the new Amaranthe album.

Tuned right down. So good.

That’s cool. But unlike the many that hate St Anger, I’ve always liked it it.

Really liking these guys, all instumental.

Going to see Machine Head in a few days and haven’t been to a show in years.
Question: Ear plugs or not? If yes, what’s the best? Can’t ever remember wearing them before.

Yes and I just wore construction ones but others probably have better suggestions

I recently bought a pair of these to see Blink 182 a few weeks ago……they worked amazingly well.
