Terrence killed him bad.
Yep
Navarette Vs Valdez was a banger from start to finish. Fight of the year so far. What a beauty.
Joshua KOās the Viking in the 7th round, hopefully Wilder next?
Only if Joshuaās affairs are in order. Wilder will punch the human treeās head right into Yemen.
To be honest, whilst I thought Valdez was brave, I couldnāt have scored him more than 3 rounds and that would be generous. A six inch reach advantage, great hand speed and non orthodox punches had Navarette clearly winning. On the scorecards, I thought the second judge at 118-111 had it just about spot on. Navarette is going to be a difficult customer for everyone that takes him on. I mean he is two inches shorter than Cordina yet has a three inch reach advantage. Arms like an orangutan.
As for fight of the year, I am personally still struggling to decide which was the most impressive performance of the Year, Inuoe toying with and destroying Fulton or Crawford dismantling Spence. Actually on reflection it has to be Inoue. There was not a single part of that entire fight where I though a unified world champion in Fulton had a chance. The Monster dominated him as if he were a 10 kilo bigger fighter, instead of the smaller man. His hand speed, ring craft and sheer brute power makes him one of the best boxers I have ever seen. He will destroy Tapales to become undisputed at two seperate weight classes and will almost certainly go up another and I donāt really see anyone at Featherweight stopping him. Every chance he becomes a three division undisputed. From what I saw today, Navarette might give him pause at 130lbs based purely on his reach.
Crawford dispatched Spence with relative ease, but at least Spence looked like he may actually land a blow or two. Not sure now if Crawford moves up to 154, or stays at 147lbs and defends the titles against one of the guys from lower weight dvisions stepping up like Haney or Davis from 135lbs or one of the guys from 140. With Charlo being stripped of his belt by the WBO and the other organisations likely to follow suit, he may want to wait until the contenders like Tszyu and Mendoza sort themselves out before making that move. One fight at that level better than multiples.
Iām with you on Valdez winning only a few rounds (I gave him four but 2 of those could have gone the other way) but it was action packed from the opening bell through to closing. I reckon Inoue is fighter of the year. I first saw him in 2019 in the Muhammad Ali Trophy Competition when he went 12-rounds with the great Nonito Donaire. Found out later that Inoue fought the last 4-rounds with a fractured skull. Since then, he hasnāt come close to losing a round let alone a contest. The return bout for Spence/Crawford will be at 154lbs as mandated in the terms of the 1st bout. Thatās bad luck for Spence and the other Welterweights including T Tzsyu.
Charlo v Alvarez about to start. How long before Charlo starts running from Canelo like he did from Tszyu?
For me, Canelo in the 7th.
Canelo for the 1st, although there were only about 4 punches thrown the whole round. 10-9
Canelo takes the second, stepping up the pressure. 20-18
Canelo hitting hard and dominating, clearly takes the round 30-27
Round 4 going the same way, Every punch Canelo lands is just pure venom. Charlo a little more active this round but not doing anywhere near enough. 40-36
Round 5 was probaly the closest since the first but Canelo still takes the round 50 - 45
Canelo doing what Canelo does, hitting hard. He is also boxing smart tonight, cutting of the ring and taking away a lot of Charloās movement. 60 - 54
Charlo down 1 minute in to the 7th. If not for the knock down I almost could have given that round to Charlo 70 - 62
Charlo started brightly in the 8th, but believe Canelo took the round by the end. 80 - 71
Corner buying time at start of the 9th by spilling ā ā ā ā on the floor. When Charlo letās his hands go, he actually looks good, but still leaning to Canelo for the round. 90-80 (at worst 88 - 82)
10th was close, Canelo started hard but by the end Charlo was throwing some decent punches. Close round but will lean to Canelo. 100 - 89
11th another round to Canelo. This has been total domination by Canelo. Props to Charlo, good chin, but he aināt in the same class as Canelo. No shame in that though. 110 - 98
All over and total domination by Canelo. Charlo spent more time running around the ring than he did throwing punches. Probably a good thing he didnāt take the Tszyu fight, Tim is quicker and taller than Canelo and probably hits nearly as hard. 120 - 107 for mine, but could see at worst a 118 - 109 but these judges have been unpredictable tonight. 119-108 118-109 118-109 all in favour of Canelo. Just about spot on.
After the fight Charlo being delusional was asked about Tszyu and said he wanted Crawford. Bloke is seriously ducking Tszyu.
Charlo got walloped
Easy pay day coming up for Sam Goodman on the Tsyzu undercard
Dillon Danis didnāt throw a punch!
Logan Paul beats Danis easily after the huge build up, barely throwing a punch. Danis went for the takedown at the end of the fight, cue pandemonium with security rushing the ring.
In the main event, Tommy Fury squeaks past KSI in a mildy controversial decision in their 6 round fight (57-57 57-56 57-56). Fury had a point deducted in the 2nd for a hit to the back and every round was very close.

Inoue (WBC and WBO) v Tapales (IBF and WBA) only minutes away for undisputed super bantamweight title. If Inoue wins, it makes him only the second boxer to be a two division undisputed champion in the modern 4 belt era. Havenāt seen anything of Tapales, but to defeat Inoue he will need to be brilliant. Inoueās record is 25-0 (22 ko). His last 21 fights have been world title fights. Incredible boxer.
Tapales has a 37-3 (19 ko) record.
Rd1 A feeling out round, but Inoue lands at about 5 to 1 and takes the first easily. 10-9
Rd2 Better round by Tapales, only out landed 4.9 to 1. Not looking good for a bloke known for his punch output. Inoue again. 20-18
Rd3 Tapales working into the fight, only outlanded about 4 to 1 that round. Iāve never seen a boxer that makes world champions look second rate like Inoue does. 30-27
Rd 4 and Tapales has a really good round until the last 13 seconds when Inoue sits him down. Even without the knock down would have given the round to Inoue, but Tapales landed his fair share. 40-35
Rd5 Tapales came out and landed a bunch of really goos shots, surprising Inoue a couple of times, only problem was trhe Inoue just came back with interest. Closest round of the fight by a mile but still Inoue 50-44
Rd6 Tapales trying to be more aggressive but INoue back to being in charge. Clear round for Inoue 60 - 53
Rd7 Would give that round to Tapales by a smidge but didnāt do any damage. 69-63
Rd 8 really close rd, will give it to Inoue by the smallest of margins. Tapales has made some major in ring changes to his defence and it is helping. 79 - 72
Rd 9 and Inoue back on top. Tapales landed a few but not anywhere near enough. Clearest of the last 3 for Inoue 89 - 81
Rd 10 and itās all over. Tapales goes down and canāt beat the count. To be honest, I thought Tapales quit, which I hate to say, but it didnāt look like a fight stopping hit. Inoue becomes undisputed Super Bantamweight champion of the world. Four division world champion, undisputed Bantamweight champion of the world and undisputed Super Bantamweight Champion of the world. For mine, best pound for pound fighter in the world. 21-0 with 19 knockouts in title fights. Words donāt do justice to this bloke.
Interesting times ahead for Joe Opetaia
Would love to fight Bivol, but would need to be at Cruiserweight.
Thereās no way Joe gets down to 175 pounds.
Mike Tyson Vs Jake Paul. July 20
Netflix. Not PPV.
Will be the most watched boxing match of all time.
I think Tommy Fury speaks for me.

I remember Holmes coming back and getting smashed. Not great for the sport either way. Tyson wins and its a disgrace. He loses and its a disgrace.
Ngannou gets slept by Joshua in the 2nd round. I guess you can put the boxing thing to bed now mate.
Tim Tszyu v Fundora - Sunday.
Biggest height disparity for a championship fight outside of heavyweight.
Will be fascinating to see the Tszyu strategy unfold.
Lara KOās Zeraffa in the 2nd round. They were just feeling each other out, and bang
