Brad Scott - time for probing the probematic spelling (Part 2)

I’ll give you the tip now - the higher you are up the food chain the easier it is to avoid it.

If you want to sniff or pop, you do it privately and you ensure you keep out of harms way whilst what ever you choose finds a way out of your system.

The AFL aren’t stupid. They know it happens. And in many ways they (and the public) bring it on them selves by demanding bigger, stronger faster athletes. So no 500 beers for you drapes. So what else?

That document is just a template on how to get around it; it even comes with a couple of chances built in.

We may as well watch the esports team the way things are headed.

We’ve been off it for decades, but the saga ruined our culture and the clubs power over players. We had to step back and do whatever to keep players happy so they would stay.

We were too scared to say “no” or call them out on things. Look at Stringer’s first pre season where he came back extremely overweight for an afl player and all we did was praise him in the media every chance we got.

It’s time to set standards. If our players don’t like it and want to leave as a result, good luck to them. They’ll get a rude shock at a Melbourne or Port or Geelong.

Hopefully our stance on Parish’s contract is the start of it and that Brad is serious about setting standards.

At least Smash Mouth has the hood grace to exit stage left

All I read there is that there are another 30 players that still don’t give a ■■■■.

Only they haven’t - they’re still ploughing on with a different singer.

This guy retired from Smash Mouth a couple of years ago, due to medical issues (which have clearly worsened).

I mean, they were utter garbage musically, but I don’t wish this on the guy.

You seem to know alot about Smash Mouth, a secret shame we don’t know about?

It’s probably why we can’t complain too much if zerk and Bryan go.

They’ve got offers, it’s their call. If the “culture” dictates anything it will be the thing that keeps them.

I made Wikipedia my friend when I was trying to determine whether Smash Mouth or Essendon had the more recent success. Turns out they’re both as mediocre as each other.

Im pretty convinced after this year that Scott can coach and take the right group to the pointy end.

Improvement needs to be found elsewhere.

Bit concerned perhaps at the lack of a response from the group with the pathetic collapse. But I think that also points to personel and fitness.

Could well see aggressive culling of those unwilling to toe the party line. The consult is over, surgery is about to take place. Scott won’t be wanting to waste year 2 with those who will/cannot comply.

Maybe or its all talk to keep us frothing supporters at bay

Time will tell

Seems like a case of hope over experience

Brad needs to show this to the boys as a motivational tool, might ■■■■■■■ fire them up

A bit too late.

I understand. The frustration of age restricted YouTube tears me up inside.

When you think what BDB actually stands for, a BDB rocket sounds … painful

If I was capable of being an AFL footballer I would have a break with family and friends over the off season. However, I would condition it to focus on my limited football career and do the cardio and weights to make me the best I can be.
Easy to say at my age but these blokes have a limited time in the game. If they put 10 years together they’ll likely earn more than us in 35 years work. They can play and relax for the rest of their lives while we keep working.
I know I’m old but could someone get in their ear please.
One chance unless they become qualified to earn good coin.
Sorry.

I still listen to this song.

I think I understand the sentiments of the original poster.
When we were good, we were The Rolling Stones. We still think we are them, but instead are closer towards Smashmouth.

I don’t think he’s saying at our peak (in the 80, 90s and 2000/01) we were like Smashmouth at their peak.
