Brad Scott - time for probing the probematic spelling (Part 2)

Baker knows more about bands that he hates, than most people know about bands that they love.

Just for some context…
The Phoenix Arizona training hasn’t begun.
Rids in the rehab group and still turning up at the club from time to time.

So whatever the group are doing with the end of season trip, it’s not happening right now.

Good stuff

So it shouldn’t, players should take September off, then training camp in Oct ready for pre season training in Nov.

Cant train 12 months a year, now is the right time for a break for them

“Under the guidance of fitness professionals”

Reckon Murphy and Mcpherson will be there

They can’t be there.
It’s against Players Association rules.

All fitness staff connected to the club can do is hand the player a fitness program at their exit interview and they can’t contact them until the first day of pre-season.
I’m not sure if it’s a different issue when players request for it.

The only ones who can be contacted are those in the rehab group.

And if they did 2wks in Arizona now any benefit would be mostly worn off after returning and kicking back on break before ramping into preseason training starting… in November!

The pile on for some players going to Europe last week ridiculous IMO

The fact that Langford,Ridley,McGrath are paying for the camp with their own money is hopfully a sign of the players finally getting serious

I don’t think it’s those three that are the issue.

It’s the fact there’s only three of them

Agree just hope that those 3 leading the way rubs on the rest of the group

Isn’t there now 15 players going?

Not saying it’s bull$hit but how does it get out that players are paying for training camps?

As a club we need to stop the headline grabbing and put in the work.

Maybe it is coming out to counter all the garbage being written about the players on places like here and Bogfooty and other social media platforms?

Don’t see why it should bother them though.

If the club wants to silence the chatter, then the best way is on the field.

Apart from getting abused on social media and all that, you have a point.

Yeah, can’t understand what drives a person to attack another on social media. Absolute bottom feeders.

Sadly the world is full of them.

Because players are the only ones who can pay for the training camps.
Clubs can’t pay for it. It becomes murky as it’ll need to go into Football Department spend and then the club needs to give the players a ‘work away from office’ allowance, etc. it’s supposed to be their time away from the club. Not a club enforced camp.
The players need to fund it all. Club can organise on their behalf though.

I was more just referring to it becoming a story. I assume it’s been leaked to counter the poor end to the year.

I will be happy when we don’t need to read stories like this because it doesn’t really mean anything without results. Acknowledge its great leadership on the players behalf.

The only reason it becomes a story is because there’s an audience for it.
Nothing more nothing less.
I don’t bother with whether it was leaked on purpose or not. It’s easier to find out this kind of information nowadays than there were a few decades ago.

“Paying their own their own way”

Good on them, but let’s not go over board. People who can afford to, should be investing in themselves.

It’s like doing a tafe course, so you can upskill and eventually get a pay rise.

The players should be investing in themselves.
