Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

Nearly had me.

This line, this is what gets me. Not because I don’t want to do it tough, but because thousands of us already have been, for so damn long.

The club is so far off it, to the point where the coach has no other choice than to play kids, and yet still botches team selection by neglecting opportunities from certain young players that show promise (D’Ambrosio, Voss, Johnson, etc).

What’s the fucken point in rebuilding, if we can’t rely on the coach to give opportunities to the players that deserve it? We’ll just recruit them, kill their development and then trade them out for nothing at all and perpetually stay on the bottom.

We never rebuilt. We basically have this draft and next to hopefully build a nucleus of players that we can blood.

Is Brad still here? Dammit

Any coach would’ve struggled to get a group of players up for tonight. Tonight in isolation is not the issue. It’s the general lack of a game style, lack of identity and personality this playing group has. You can be ■■■■ but also stand for something and look like you’re building something. Scott has had 3 years and I have no idea what he’s trying to do.

He’s very lucky to have got an extension before this season started otherwise he’d be very much in the gun next year. He still might be, but Barham backing him in offers a layer of protection that he shouldn’t have. My guess is we will most likely have a new coach come 2028.

Leave him in Queensland please.

Yeah I get that. Of any club in the AFL, ours would be the hardest to sell a rebuild to because we’ve been so bad for so long. For Richmond it was a much easier sell. You’ve had your success, those premiership heroes have got older, the system has caught up with you and you have to hit the reset button. But when you’ve been so far off it for so long and are still rubbish, being told you’re in for more pain is too much for some.

I want a full rebuild and I want it done properly. No more of this trying to top up and bring in players from other team that won’t move the needle. We must work to the timeline of Caddy, Kako, Roberts, Clarke, Johnson, Visentini, Hayes, Reid, Durham, Caldwell, Martin, etc. If we keep adding young talent to that group, then when the time is right look at some Free Agents and players available for trade from other clubs. But we are a good 3-4 drafts away from that.

What about the last round in 2024,

Or 2023

Or 2022

Nobody lays down at the end of a season like we do.

Nobody ■■■■■ up a 1st round like we do.

We are just wasting time with this bloke. No idea what is going whatsoever. Absolute rabble. I can’t understand why we have to wait another 12-24 months to move on. What’s the point?

No game plan, no improvement, no motivation…what the hell are we doing!?

2023 was way worse than this one.

That was horrendous.

So that’s the gameplan. Sneaks.

He is not up to it..only injuries have hidden how bad he is as a coach

Our SAGA top up team full of bush league players lost only 1 game by 90 points plus

Brad has lost 4 games by 90+ this year
What a super coach

Final round of 2016 was pretty decent.

He’s had the ultimate alibi this year. I hope someone absolutely goes at him with both barrels at the AGM. In fact I might go and look to do just that.

I just don’t get how 90% of the bomber fans I talk to say the same thing but the club doesn’t see it? You could pick it two years ago that he doesn’t have it. It’s clear as day.

How you pick Menzie over Johnson I cannot understand.
