maybe we could try not picking ■■■■ truck coaches
Maybe we should set up the whole club to actually build towards a good side?
people, and people like you, just need to accept that this club cannot function without a messiah, ad we need to find the next one stat.
i don’t know if i would say Brad has fixed anything but the part about ridiculing players for hard work yes i do.
its also been well documented from ex essendon players and some that move to essendon that they dont train as hard or as intense as other clubs, it doesnt matter what the S and C advise players to do or what leaders like Zach and Mcgrath (who interestingly are the least injured and the most consistent performers ) do when you have a group of other players making fun of guys working harder and then imagine your young and want to fit in
EFC would pay overs for a messiah, then put him to work building chairs for the boardroom.
Sure but that should be a board pres running with a totally new board after the old one is spilled. Chuck out everyone old, pin it all on a big silly grand plan, and promise to resign en masse if the plan fails.
Sure, but why? Why has this been this case? Is it the saga and its after effects? PTSD? Excuses for everyone sounds like, and we’ll get a new raft of them soon if they can be farked or courageous enough to address another year in this purgatory for the fans who keep showing up and keep buying memberships.
i dont know why i wish i did though but my guess the saga started it and is just a poor club culture that has been allowed to fester for too long, it no coincidence that players have great year one and never replicate it or they seem to have an amazing year in a contract year get a huge contract and never back it up.
You even have guys publicly come out and say I got really fit being a contract year Fark that if they wouldnt get fit and put in on a normal year then move them on and end this culture.
We have not been a fit and hard side since the early 2000s.
Yeah I was a fan of keeping both.
We looked pretty ripped in 2013.
Under Brad Scott:
- 2023 - won 3, lost 7 after the second bye.
- 2024 - won 3, lost 7 after the second bye
- 2025 - won 0, lost 9 after the second bye.
That a 26% win rate at the pointy end of the season.
Hardly screams: “this man can take us deep into September” does it?
The new thing these Brad Scott supporters talk about lately is how they don’t think he’ll be our next premiership coach, but he’ll do all the hard work for someone else to take over and reap the rewards.

Even his supporters on here growingly don’t have confidence in him.
Ripped as in off the bone, like Jobe’s hamstring ?
That was the skinny jeans they could barely fit into after pre season. Many an injury attributed to Marvel but the skinny jeans were an apocalypse.
Our most successful player to play in the last 10 years was Stringer and he’s certainly not one to show / lead the way - probably the opposite as a role model.
You mean all 2 of them?
Houli got 3 flags.
At the risk of sounding like one of those “old” posters but that was quite a popular view when he was first appointed.
I wouldn’t say that. Don’t worry about us though, like you we just have an opinion.
