Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

Probably is.

Per the injury thread.

They need to have the line meetings before Brad’s rev-up speech.

Did Brad mention how the origins of Essendon came from the McCrackens

On top of the internal review 3 years ago… ā– ā– ā– ā–  me this club loves a review and paying lip service to the findings.

True.
We need to do a review of the reviews we have done & then review the outcome of that review, thus overcoming the need for a further review.

KPMG, PWC, Deloitte and EY would go bust if Essendon ever got their ā– ā– ā– ā–  together.

We should just fold.

I would need to review that.

Odds on that someone connected to the club is on the board of Deloitte or KPMG.

Brad has seen the light. Sure that train had to hit him in the face first, but he can now see that you can drop some of these senior players and still be competitive, if not better without them.

Has he dropped any yet though ?

I’m not sure he has seen the light fully yet.

He is more sitting in a dark room with sunglasses on, peering through the peephole

Yeah, nah.

Put Chris Scott into our club and watch him plummet…

It’s a reasonable observation.

The difference between Geelong and Essendon isn’t either of the Scott brothers.

I actually don’t think you can reasonably hold this position now, not for the time being anyway.
You can absolutely argue that he has been forced into playing the newbies because of the injury crisis, and generally his willingness for giving kids a game is probably not as strong as most - certainly in comparison to a lot of us geniuses on here.
But the fact is he has.
And some of those selections have been choices rather than having no resort.

Now if we get a full list to choose from and most of those kids are consistently relegated back to the vfl, THEN the argument becomes valid.
But until then you’re really just showing the same stubbornness and resistance to change that you accuse the coach of.

Well thats the whole point isn’t it?

He’s not done so by choice, he’s been forced.

Ergo of course one can hold the position that he has not, in fact, ā€œseen the lightā€.

Particularly given that when he did have a fuller list available to choose from, all the evidence suggested that he was making a deliberate choice not to prioritise playing youth in the seniors.
