Nah Deck, being cruel is not on, but Foxs & feral cats, rabbits, & feral dogs too of late, are all a ■■■■■■ menace, and are welcome to be dispatched as often as possible, humanely of course.

But I’m talking about cruelty, not control.
I don’t get the ‘joy’ in hurting things.
Unless it’s a fargin ■■■■ of a human, of course. In that case, I can see the joy.

One thing I’m looking forward to when I’m proficient enough to one hit KO with my bow
Then I really will be like a colonial

And fracking cane toads… My nightly cane toad hunting around the dams has been knocking over the large breeders, but the numbers of small toads I see scares me for the future. I have seen a decline in the snakes here on the property, not sure if they are linked, but it wouldn’t surprise me. I would rather have the snakes and no cane toads.

It’s your duty as a responsible citizen. When down in Denmark last year (SW Western Australia), we spent some time with a couple of rangers who showed us a photograph of a 22kg, that’s right, 22kg ferel cat that they had caught in bushland near by. We have no idea how many native marsupials, reptiles, etc went into assisting the cat with it’s conditioning but fair bet it was lots. And there are countless cats out there. And foxes. So when the opportunity presents to defend our local fauna, take it.
Playing at camping at a caravan park with all the inconveniences and none of the benefits of actual ‘camping’ - yes, ridiculous.
It’s not camping if you can get a signal on your phone or any portable device , smoke signals and a reflecting mirror being the exemptions .
now I don’t remember who asked the question on camping first up, but they, & anyone else in need of getting some camping gear, should definitely check out the Aldi catalogue this week.
Even a 3’5 kw genny, & a camp fridge. solar panels . etc etc. On sale Sat 12th March.
plus they have sleeping bag suits. you can just fall asleep wear ever you drop. and no more cold dash to the toilet

Ta mate, I’ll check it out.
But do they work?
But do they work?
Do you care?
hahahaha
I’ve bought a lot of stuff at Aldi, 2 laptops, the one I’m on now is 6 yrs old & hasn’t missed a beat really. It’s giving me grief lately with a video conflict somewhere which causes out of the blue, non blue screen crashes, but considering it’s never had a re format in all that time, that’s the idiot typing’s fault.
The other, even though the screen started to fritz after about 5 years, is 10 years old, and still operates as a DVR/ Media player and I’ll watch the footy streaming through it today… on a 42" HD TV I got from Aldi, about 5 - 6 years ago as well, … again, never missed a beat, (although it wont render the new mp4 channels, but … meh.)
The only things I’ve had go bad, were the mini deep fryer … it shat itself after about 8 months, … rang the warranty number, … they asked for my name & addy, then sent me a new one immediately, with no questions asked or wanting to see the old one … nothing, just, no worries, it’s on it’s way. And a frypan had a dicky control, again same deal.
It’s a no risk, high possible win situation, … if you take whatever it is home, and don’t like it for any reason, you just take it back to the store, in it’s packaging, and they give you your cash back. On most items it’s 60 days, on some, it’s 90!!
What’s to lose? Well, the genny & the fridge are big purchases, so you’d like a 2 yr warranty at least, as both lappys & the TV did, if not, they may be a bit of a risk, but as long as you really put the things through their paces in the first 12 months, (if it’s one year), you should know if they’re any good or not within the period.
Oh, & here’s a good blitz tip, I actually got an extra 12 months …(or was it even 2 years?) on the TV Laptops etc, … in fact I get it on all electrical goods I buy anywhere, through a little known bonus attached to the Com Bank platinum C Card, … I think the gold one had it too.
I know other banks have the same thing on some of their credit cards too, people should check, as sometimes they don’t shout about it.

I agree, their Medion computer kit is pretty good value. I had a Medion laptop that ran well for 9 years and then the hdd died. I replaced it with an SSD and it kept on going and is now running Win 10. Has a BD/DVD in it and great as a media lappy. Might be the same as the one you have BSD. Those Germans have very good purchasers.
I even proposed to my wife down there, sitting up on the big boulders at Pillar point watching the sunset. Who says romance is dead?Needn't tell us which position you were in, filthy bugger.

Like I said - romantic.
I've seen a rental shop exclusively stocked with the Aldi toboggans! They probably replace them with new ones every 2nd year. Much like chains, if you plan to use them for more than a weekend, it ends up cheaper to buy them.Yep, pretty much all my snow gear has slowly beed replaced with Aldi stuff over the last few years. I got a snowboard jacket last year that was $60. Sealed seams, excellent zips, high quality material, fits great and keeps me very warm. It was replacing a $350 Helly Hansen jacket that saw noble service over 10 years, so even if I only get a few seasons out of the Aldi one it will be value. The goggles I got from there are the best fit I've ever had and the lenses can be changed in and out in about 2 minutes. Brilliant. I'll probably get the snowboard pants this year and then I will be Aldi head to toe (minus my trusty helmet). For the price they sell at, they represent great value, especially for the kids who grow out of stuff every few years. Apparently the Aldi Snow sale Saturday is their busiest day of the year, so plan ahead and get in when they open the door. I'm surprised they don't do it twice.I've bought a lot of stuff at Aldi, 2 laptops, the one I'm on now is 6 yrs old & hasn't missed a beat really. It’s not absolutely top of the line stuff, but when you’re paying about 60% of the price of the bottom of the line stuff from anywhere else, it’s great value. Technically both mine & Mrs AP’s Aldi stuff is our backup stuff, but not by much. And if you’re outfitting little buggers, easily the place to go.
Stay away from the snow chains and toboggans though, the chains are poor and some resorts don’t allow them as they have a historical tendancy to break, cause accidents and tear up tyres and cars. The toboggans break easily apparently and the plastic that snaps off gets into the waterways when the snow melts and it doesn’t break down. Also banned at many resorts.
On Aldi camping stuff, I’ve got their fold-up washing bowls, rubber floor mats, tarpaulin and the fold-up shovel. All have been fine, except the shovel no longer folds up as the screw-down bracket is jammed, but it’s still a shovel and it cost $4, so, meh.
I suspect with the chains it’s down to user error one way or the other. They’re a bugger to put on the first couple of times (actually ■■■■■■ annoying every time, but the first few times you don’t know exactly how annoying ) or people driving way too fast. The cheapish ones are all rated at 30 or 40 km/h, which is as fast as you really want to be going anyway, but you regularly get overtaken by cars seriously flogging it with them on. Then you overtake them again round the next bend as they’re trying to pick bits of chain and rubber from their suspension & brakes.
Aldi snow sale is ridiculous, saw it first hand in brisbane of all places this year, chaos.
I don’t know if I’d be more embarrassed wearing Aldi snow gear or the stuff k bought back in '95 (which I do)
The amount of Aldi stuff I’ve seen at the snow over the past few years has increased massively. It’s seriously everywhere. I have absolutely no problem with being seen in it, as the money I saved allows me to have more time at the snow. That, and the fact I’m a middle-aged white guy with two young kids - I know I don’t know what’s cool or not anymore.
