So sad. That was a truly great movie and she lit it up like a star.
Just a few months ago I was reading about her dismissed lawsuit against Paramount for the underage nude scene in that movie.
The light weight turned out to be Andrew Peacock who was touted as the anointed successor to Holt, but never quite got there.
Holt was the natural successor. Peacock had only been an MP for two years when Holt disappeared. McEwan blocked MacMahon, Gorton was the accidental PM. After McEwan retired in 1971, the path was cleared for MacMahon. Peacock was still considered too inexperienced.
Riley does tend to make everything dull.
And therefore thank Christ Gough grabbed the reins and got in … because for all his and several of that Labor government ministerial miss steps, Australia grew up.
Agree with all of that. Peacock was the media darling, but never lived up to his image.

I guess he figured he didn’t wanna wait to watch Trump’s second coronation inauguration.
Quite something to have lived to 100… he was the last living president to be inaugurated before I was born, and I’m nearly 48 years old.
Reports that Michael Turner, former champion Geelong and Victoria winger has died.
Turner also had a long and fruitful association with the Geelong Falcons.
Confirmed via The Geelong Advertiser…died of pancreatic cancer…was 70.
