Celebrity Deaths 2020

One of the victims was a staff member at the Department of Chemistry at Melbourne University, where my old man was doing his MSc at the time. I think she was murdered quite close to the uni.

The film had a couple of names…Death of a Soldier was one.

I thought he was tried under Australian law. He would probably have been hanged either way, but there was thought that he could have had an insanity plea, but the Yanks were happy to let him hang, hopefully to appease Aussie anger.

From what I can find it sounds like Leonski was pretty active and that several other women managed to get away.

I suspect that given it was in the middle of a world war, none of his parents or siblings were in Melbourne to offer support. You can just see him being absolutely friendless in those last weeks and days. Certainly wouldn’t have had any support from the locals given what he had done. Really bad luck for the three victims. Going about their business and having the misfortune of crossing paths with that bloke.

I recall my Mum telling about Leonski and that women in Melbourne were terrified at the time.

He was tried in Australia under US military law and always was going to hang

Sad to see the passing of Irrfan Khan at just 53

SAM Lloyd a.k.a Lawyer Ted Buckland of Scrubs and Cougar Town fame has died aged 56 from a brain tumour. Only had a kid 12 months ago. Very funny guy. If you have never watched Scrubs, do yourself a favour and give it a watch.

Ah man… RIP!
He of The Stranglers and Barry Andrews of XTC were the defining features of those bands’ early material…

Bugger. I’ve been playing old vinyl and only this week gave “Rattus Norvegicus” a spin. RIP Dave.

Don Shula, ex coach of the Miami Dolphins-and the only NFL coach to have a “perfect season” passed away aged 90.
Winning-est coach ever in the NFL.

Did he play with Tom Landry’s hat

Oh those were the days. I hate being a Dolphin fan these days, turning themselves into the new Browns.

You could try bringing Dan Marino back

He is still probably better than anyone we have tried over the years, even at his advanced age.

And now I have the very brief DAAS version in my head.

I wanted to fight the DAAS. Still do actually.

DAAS would approve that joke.

Not sure about Tim but I reckon I’ve got beardy and R Fidler covered. Flacco looks like he could get pretty rowdy.
