They found Naya Rivera’s body in the lake today. Her 4 year old must have fallen in the water and the boat drifted away. Sheriff said she managed to save her son but didn’t have the energy to save herself and drowned.
Absolutely tragic.

She apparently wasn’t wearing a life jacket although a life jacket was found, her son was wearing a jacket.
Tragic yes and sadly, probably preventable.
He’s one weird cat, manic personality, but a great actor.
And I agree with you about Tom Hanks. Boring as. Although I thought he was absolutely brilliant in Captain Phillips.
They both play themselves in every film.
Hanks plays Everyman, Cruise plays action hero (even in Magnolia, which I rate, haven’t seen 4th July which…I have to imagine even he actually acts in).
Pretty boy Brad Pitt is a far better actor than both.

Is Tom Hanks dead?
He died twenty years ago. It’s been a body double phoning it in for awhile now.
Explains why his career has taken a dive after he made Big.
Take your Tom Hanks bashing to the movie thread and let people get back to the real purpose of this thread.
Which apparently is talking about old time soft drinks.
Show doesn’t have the greatest track record.
One of the pyrotechnic guys about a decade a go then Jessi(?) in the past couple of years
well that sucks
Imahara died suddenly following a brain aneurysm, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
And to note that BIG was a 1988 film.
shrugs
Taps, Outsiders and Risky Business was some of Cruise’s best work.
Whaaaat!
this year is most definitely the “annus horribilus”
Collateral is terrific. Cruise has moments and that film is one of them.
finally.

Jeezuz …
Ah ■■■■. Him, and Mythbusters in general, contributed significantly to a whole generation of kids being enthusiastic about engineering and science.
On a tangent from old time soft drinks, I’m also intrigued that Polly Waffles are making a come back after some sustained campaigning. But they won’t hit the shelves until next year. Must be a very complex recipe.
Nothing to do with the recipe. They will be made in Adelaide and the factory is installing new machinery to produce them. A lot of of R&D have gone into the machines which takes time and money. They just got a $1m from the Feds which will speed up the process
