What an absolute legend Betty White has been.
My wife and I still watch the Golden Girls occasionally and just love her.
Terrible start to the New Year upon hearing this news but she outlasted the other three ‘girls’ by a fair way. Fair innings too to get to 99.

Not that l watched the Golden girls much, but she always brightened a scene just by being in it. Not sure if it was the scene shown above or another where she took off on a made up story, and the other girls could only stand back and give her some elbow room. She was brilliant ad-libing in a Gracie Fields/Robin Williams way.

Only thing I saw with Betty White in it was an episode of the sopranos where she gets beaten up by one of the characters who steals a promotional hamper from her. She let off a few expletives. Thought it was funny.
