Bass Player with the Masters Apprentices, manager to LRB and Farnham, ( and very early Delta Goodrem).
Had the rollercoaster ride of life’s highs and lows.
Had a monumental effect on Oz music.

My brother in law is good mates with an ex Saints player, Alan Harper. For many years he introduced Harper to me as the guy who broke Fred Cook’s jaw. Harper had a distinct case of white line fever, although to meet him today you would never guess it.
Just this morning I was on discogs and followed a link to look at Wheatley Records releases, then come in here to learn that Glenn has just passed. RIP.

Yes, and those were great days … Pat Flaherty was another favourite out on a Dandenong flank always in his long sleeves. Was wall to wall weekend football back then with live VFA on Sundays. All those VFA teams and their guernseys … Sunshine, Box Hill, Prahran, Preston, Port and Geelong West etc. … fond memories
Fred Cook was huge in name, frame and talent. R.I.P

Oakleigh, with Big Bob Johnson, John Murnane and Brian Ford.
Big Bob was one of the great stagers.
Murnane was at CBC St Kilda, maybe even school captain, but had to leave when he went to Melbourne. You weren’t allowed to play for anybody outside school. Pretty sure Jim Buckley of Port was in the same boat.

Harry Van Moorst passed away at the age of 75.
He would laugh at being called a celebrity and most would have no idea who he was, but he was really important to so many young Australian blokes in starting the fight against conscription and sending conscripts to Vietnam. He gave me the courage and support to not register.
He was the first activist I met and in later years he fought all levels of Government on social and environmental issues. He was no ■■■■■■■■ and his campaigns were based on fairness and what was right. Society needs urban warriors like Harry Van Moorst.

Oh no. What’s wrong with John? I loved Harry and the hendersons
