So sad :frowning:

The unsung hero of that band. Kinda feels like she was the glue that held it together.

I always found myself gravitating towards her songs more than the others a lot of the time.

Like everyone else - no idea she was ill. That’s a tough one - can’t really picture the band without her in it

So sad to hear this news. Part of the soundtrack to my life. Will be giving The Mac a few spins today in her memory.

My first ever “big” concert was Fleetwood Mac at Calder Park Raceway in 1977. The crowd was immense (~60,000) and it was a hot, dusty day. Support acts were Creation, Kevin Borich Express, Santana and the then hugely popular Little River Band who had second billing.

Christine McVie (nee Perfect) featured in the opening song ‘Say You Love Me’ and the final encore ‘Song Bird’. The band were outstanding and it was a magnificent concert.

Touring Rumours, the height of their powers. That would have been something.

Haha that’s awesome

Christine’s voice was the perfect counterpoint to Stevie’s. Silken clarity. I will sometimes play SongBird as a one off just for her voice. A huge part of FM’s makeup and sound.

We’re losing outstanding female vocalists this year.

Vale, Christine.

Does seem that a disproportionate amount of celebs check out fairly early for one reason or another. I guess there’s some bias in the reporting, but still…

Nick Bollettieri: The Godfather of The Grunt.

Seles, Sharapova and others learnt their stuff through his academy.

Andre Agassi also.

I’d forgotten that we’d lost many of these this year. Click to enlarge.
