I’m not sure if this inferring that Tori has passed away due to steroid or performance enhancing drug use or just a separate statement, but it appears that Bowie was battling some quite serious mental health issues. So while the official cause of death hasn’t been released yet it points to something quite sad. Tragic really. She is an Olympic Silver Medallist in the 100m and a World Champion in the 100m. She was a serious, serious athlete.

I inferred nothing, just made a short and simple statement of fact, but did so knowing that someone would make such an association, which says more about the person making the assertion than my original comment.

I’m sure given that you can read that you can clearly see that I didn’t claim that you were inferring it. I allowed for the fact that it could well be a separate statement.

Just caught up on the Gordon Lightfoot passing. Bit of sadness about that one, Dad played his stuff quite a bit and it’s kinda ingrained in me without really knowing it.

Nah I’m ok thanks, I’m more than happy with how I phrased it and the point of my post was to highlight how awful mental illness is and that it’s so sad that it appears that we have lost a world champion and someone so young to this pervasive beast.
But cheers for feeling the need to get personal and derail it when I didn’t even accuse you of anything.

A quick trip to Wikipeadia shows that you are right, l stand corrected.
In February 1989, Griffith Joyner abruptly retired from athletics. She remained a pop culture figure through endorsement deals, acting, and designing. She died in her sleep as the result of an epileptic seizure in 1998 at the age of 38. She is buried at the El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest.

Umm, that you chose not to add a disclaimer after “knowing that someone would”, that says stuff about your decisions though. You were happy to let (or even encourage) that association to be made
Anyway, both were obviously horrible. And 32 is way way too young
