Censored Words

OMG, you can call someone a bloody bastard now.

Dick Reynolds is also allowed. This is a trial, and be warned that use of that name will trigger an automatic alert to mods and may get you a holiday if used otherwise.

The above four words are the only ones changed. You may need to log out and then back in to see the changes (I needed to do so).

Also, ignore most of the advice in the above posts.

I knew it couldn’t be that hard, … Noice. :+1:

Thanks DJR — it’s a start.

But there are still some words whose banning is ridiculous. For example:

The old synonym for donkey - a$$. (Shakespeare, Hamlet, Act 2, scene 2: “Then came each actor on his a$$”).

And the synonym for rooster - ¢o¢k (Tristram Shandy is usually described as “A ¢o¢k-and-bull story”).

Strangely enough “Fart” is allowed, as are “turd”, “wank” and “bugger”. Yet when I go over to the dog thread and try to talk about those two little pals of mine, they get censored out because they are black labrador bit¢hes .

Yes, a bit of rationalisation still needed — but at least you’ve made a start. At least we can now talk about

Dick Reynolds

Thank you !

What about ■■■■■

Is ■■■■■ still censored?

Its a girls name and a convenient pack for storing your roids in.

That’s almost as bad as the hashtag for the Chester Literary Festival.

God I’m stupid, can’t figure that one out.

If it doesn’t offend the ladies and gentry, #CLitfest
