Don’t think so. It’s not as if they can be drawn together anyway, not in the Group stages at least. Maybe Spurs are unlucky to be in Pot 3 behind Utd, but there is some formula to how they work it out in terms of history in the competition (past winners generally get favourable treatment, that’s why we as a 5-time winner haven’t been put in P4, where based on our last decade we should be…)
Groups are drawn tomorrow. These are the pot allocations, so each Group will have one team from each of the pots. Teams from the same country can’t be drawn together, so Chelsea and Man City can’t meet in the group stages.
Knowing our luck we’ll get one of Real Madrid or Bayern Munich from Pot 1, then follow that up with either PSG or Barca (If we don’t get RM from P1) from Pot 2.
Happy with Real’s draw. I am still in a dreamlike state after the last 2 seasons. Zizou has more trophies (8) than losses (7) in his time as Real coach. And this man Asensio is a champion in the making!
