Ajax lead 1-0 after dominating the opening, slicing Spurs up. Vertonghen gone with a nasty knock to the nose, tried to come back on but doubled over. Sissoko on and Spurs have arrested momentum, some nice attacks going into half time.

Absolutely. 1-0 is a difficult score to sit on mentally. Do Ajax park the bus at home or do they attack and run the risk of Spurs slicing them open.
I still feel Spurs will score in Amsterdam

Tie over. I’ve watched for 20 minutes and other than Salah bottling the easiest chance he will have in 2 years, don’t think I’ve seen us touch the ball other than picking it out of the net.

All over IMO. Needed an away goal, which we should’ve had given the chances, but been made to pay the ultimate price. We can definitely win the 2nd leg, but I can see Barca scoring, which means we’d need to win by 4 clear goals. That ain’t happening…

More important than anything that happened this morning, reports that Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas suffered a heart attack at a training session for his club FC Porto. Sent to hospital where he is receiving treatment. Thoughts and prayers out to him, hopefully he makes a speedy recovery…

Barcelona were fantastic, and Liverpool still played well but couldn’t buy a goal. Suarez was brilliant and Messe is a freak.

I have been to some great sporting events but in a crowd of over 98000 at a magnificent stadium to watch this great was a highlight. Two great clubs and the crowd was noisy, passionate and well behaved.

Not sure anyone will beat Barca this year.
