Optus Stadium hosted its first AFL game in Round 1 2018.
The Tigers have played there only twice, early in 2018 vs West Coast (47 point loss) & early in 2019 vs Fremantle (25 point win). Their last game at the venue was over two years ago.
Next week will be our 7th game at the venue in that same time period.

Agreed. I mentioned the loss of him and Kelly in th match day thread having a big impact in the second half. Someone else mentioned that it only put them one player down on rotations, which is true. The point was missed that it was 2 of their best players who were out of the game. l feared for Allen when he was crashing to the ground, he could have broken his neck the way he landed. With him out of the game one of their best marking options disappeared, and a potential aerial forward threat was removed.

They are an average pressure team.
Laverde is perfect on Riewoldt. But he is also perfect on Martin. If Francis can cover Riewoldt then you will play Laverde on Martin when he is forward.

I’d be looking at the Melbourne/Brisbane blueprint on how to shut Martin out of the game.
Laverde to go with him every step of the way and just drift down with him rather than try to find him in transition.

I never mentioned them being a good pressure side, I said they didn’t let us play the way we wanted in the first half, call that pressure or structure or whatever you like
