This. Melksham - I think I counted 4 inside 50 kicks by him that went straight to Melbourne players.

Yep his first 3 kicks I believe went straight to the opposition resulting in turnovers. Probably the worst I have seen him play however still deserves to be dropped for that performance
my thoughts regarding the Adelaide match... walking out of the ground last night.

I'm all for this provided they dont move him in and out of the side, thrusting NOB around like that will lead to him being overstimulated and most likely blowing his load too early and may take a while to get back up.
Getting him in is a good start though because he can be used to get in behind a pack and thrust his way through ball in hand. Being that hard type of in and under squad member is exactly what we need particularly in Watsons absence. From VFL reports it seems that if NOB is in the action giving it a red hot go the ball movement is rarely stagnant.
bringing NOB into the side just might be the kick up the backside the team needs.
Sorry I'm procrastinating from Uni work,
In all seriousness NOB or KAV could be useful additions to the side provided they have been using it well, whose disposal is better DJR? or fellow VFL watchers?
KAV deserves a run at it like Melk has had. Beautiful kick and hard at it tackler, this could be his opportunity.
Agree. You don't want to effect NOB's confidence. Only put him in when he's ready.
Out 10 goals 17.
In 17 goals 10.

if Gleeson is fit I would definitely have him in the team.

Hasn't even played reserves for weeks
KAV should be given a decent go at it.
Melksham can't keep his spot after a performance like that. Winders needs a run in the twos to find form, the constant in/out/in/out is just not working and he's given us nothing in the last two. Bellchambers I'd almost drop on principle for missing that shot 15m out... but I'll go:
Out: Melksham, Winders
In: Jerrett, Dell
If Fletch is fit, Ambrose is out and Hurley forward. Chappy as sub.
with with everything except Ambrose out.
Neither Hurley or carlisle after yesterday deserve to be in the side before Ambrose, whether playing forward or back.
Winders is shockingly out of form, bar one game is only offering at best 1 goal a game, and very few meaningful disposals. Chappy isn't far behind him but is still at least contributing in other areas.
And agree re Melksham, after that performance, he has to be dropped, no questions asked.

Does he? His VFL form has hardly been overwhelming. I'm surprised they gave him a go ahead of a few others, and I think he had minimal impact when he came on.

Winders out before kav, winders looked hampered/cooked unfortunately.
1 Play Hurley forward
2 Drop Bellchambers - someone needs to be punished for those shots at goal
LEROY pls
First to training.
Didnt Jackson break his hand?
Played against Werribee yesterday; in a team that jumped the opposition early, but then kicked horribly inaccurately and gave up the lead, and lost by a point.
No wait; we came back regardless, and won by a point. It was awesome.
Out- Melksham, Howlett, Bellchambers*
In- Fletcher, Jetta, kid
*Carslile to pinch hit as the back up ruck
Yeah, I'm not sure if he deserves games, but if he played a few games while Melk goes back and starts earning his sash, I'd be ok with it.Does he? His VFL form has hardly been overwhelming. I thought he looked much stronger in the body, and did a few things in close.
Worth a proper look atm
Ol Chap looked pretty ordinary yesterday, needs to respond against Adelaide or have a kick in the VFL which will be very embarrassing.

Geelong offering a one year contract, got it about right. But Meh, it would have paid off for us if we were a contender.
Next year could be interesting.
