Nothing to lose??? They’re copping plenty of heat.
A loss here ends their season and probably the job of their coach.
‘Nothing to lose’ would come after that

I’m heading to the game this weekend. Just crossed the border. Doesn’t look good for us this weekend, but hoping for a good result!
Doesn’t look like any open training in SA in the leadup?
Both Parish and Wright moved well at training this morning
We need Wright structurally but I doubt he will be in this week
Any other training info/insights? Thanks
had the face of a man knowing the cameras were on him and trying a bit to hard to look disappointed, didnt feel real to me
Yes
The boys trained very sharply today doing different drills. Langers was out there not going full pace and having goal
kicking practice which is promising. Parish moved well as did Wright. There are so many new players they are hard to pick. Nguyen shows real speed and class I reckon. He was very lively. There is a lot to be excited about.
I am excited about LAV being in the team.
I went today and was extremely disappointed.
The staff at the bombershop performed under pressure and were elite however.
I’m assuming we take 25 or 26 players to Adelaide. With an early Morning Sat VFL praccy some players may miss more game time. Unless they play a half and fly over as emerg.
I don’t think we need Wright structurally.
Jones, Caddy & Draper for 65% is enough talls up forward. Just need one of them to keep May busy.
First time at training.
Doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of connection or camaraderie between a lot of the players.
Wright was in heated discussion with I presume Bryan over positioning for a few minutes (it may not have been Bryan).
No real precision in kicks throughout the match play.
The only enthusiastic players were the young ones. Saads leads were not seen or ignored a few times, despite being in good positions.
Merret was the only loud voice from where we were standing.
We still can’t hit targets and kick to packs.
The training sounds very much like how we play. We don’t have the cattle to play with a precision kicking. Thing that annoys me most is the lack of set plays to make space by our forwards and then to honour a lead with a 20m kick going into fwd 50.
It was exactly how we play.
Thanks for your feedback.
It’s interesting that you say that about Saad as I used to think the same about Martin when he first started.
Thanks, it really is no surprise.
Players are just happy to be AFL footballers. When they get caught out on a low effort, they just trot Andrew Mcgrath out for some corporate cliche platitudes.
“It’s not who we are”.
On a positive note, I really do hope Jayden Nguyen gets a spot. He was super polite and extremely impressive in person. So was lav and Merrett who we came across in the cafe after training by accident.
I basically forced them to sign ■■■■ and take photos with my foreign wife and they were extremely gracious and made my wife and kid’s day.
I really do hope that this club succeeds for Merretts sake.
The last couple of years they’ve had open training at AO but can’t see anything posted this year. Depending on where they’re staying, they might have a run around a SANFL ground.
All points to a predictably dire performance this weekend. Thanks for the update.
