Changes v Dees - April 12 7.35pm @ Adelaide oval

I just wish Lav never had all those injuries early on in his career. I loved the way he moved, and he plays like a man with a much older body with the accumulation of all those soft tissue problems.

He’s 29 in a couple of days, he plays like a guy much nearer retirement than that age should indicate.

Afl average retirement age is 25.5yrs

For AA calibre players its 31-32

He’s not far off that and far from AA calibre

I also keep hearing in these venerable pages that AFL players are ageing like fine wine, with extended careers going out into their late 30s.

Would the average age of 25.5 indicate end of career most likely through being cut from the list, rather than retirement? Most footballers wouldn’t have a choice when their career is done.

I bet the Cats and pies wish the veterans list still existed. (finished in 2017)

Players 30 years or older and ten years at the club had their wage outside the salary cap.

Would have meant Pies could have had Pendelbury on there for 7 years.

Cornes suggests 300+ games should be kept outsdie the salary cap, like old veterans list.
Would be no good to us.

Regardless of how he is, I’d play 2MP at full forward to negate May’s presence. May would destroy a youngster like Caddy. As well, apart from Caddy, who is likely to play FF. Jones is tall but he would also be demolished. I not even thinking of naming a side, but Sedderfield is no Cadwell, but he is tall and adds strength to the midfield. Tsastas and Perkins are now available. Start El-Hawli on the ground when the match start - no sub for this guy.

Draper can negate May if need be. No Lever so no need to go overly tall.

Mate just sent me this. Clickbait?

Where’s the team?

3 injuries in the bye week would be about right for us. Ah well we suck anyway I suppose so who cares

There is absolutely zero value playing Setterfield.

Wow. Didn’t think Setterfield would be an in.

Tsatas, Hayes and Day-Wicks are emergencies.

Surprised with Dees dropping Turner…felt he gave them a target last week…

Also good to see Harry McKay back, don’t underestimate the effect this had on Ben. I hope BM has a hell of a game.

Gotta pump games into the future midfield … Dylan Shiel and Will Setterfield.
