I bet we will still be one of the youngest teams of the round dont see how picking Setterfield is short term thinking
Setterfield over Tsatas is the epitome of Scott focusing on the short term
Of course you would.
Looks like Tsatas is touch and go with his hand, but they’re taking him to Adelaide just in case.
When are we going to get rid of Scott?
We should be giving ourselves the best chance to win each week as we charge towards finals.
Young blokes, and there are plenty, love winning games and highly beneficial.
Yes winning a bunch of pointless games and finishing mid table has served us so well the last 20 years.
If Tsatas is emergency, fit but not even playing VFL, then yeah that’s farked.
This game is a free hit. Doesn’t matter who wins out of us and Melbourne as we have both picks. May as well get the win and break their spirit.
This is the Essington way baby!!
If it’s a free hit why not play the 20 year old over the 27 year old?
Youngest team we’ve fielded so far in 2025, and significantly younger than the Tigers this round.
Tsatas hasn’t played for what 3wks and only just back to full training this week with a glove.
He’s done nothing yet to be considered an auto in and I’d expect they are just giving him more time with the hand issue anyway. Broken bones are kind of significant and all
But IF was need for him as emergency he’d perhaps be ok to push through but they’d prob only bring him in as sub at best
Hard to not make that argument about Setterfield though surely?
I’d much rather Setterfield than Shiel in the centre square. But Tsatas should be miles ahead of both in selection, not to mention Hobbs.
If Tsatas plays VFL, truly attrocious team selected.
Decent tackle numbers
Technically, beating Melbourne does help us.
Yes but that’s 1 good game in the 2’s after a poor showing in the pre-season, and he didn’t play round 1 I’m pretty sure. I would have preferred to see Setterfield the sub and Tsatas in - if he is an emergency surely he is ok to play.
Setterfield is backwards mentatlity, Tsatas shows more than Setterfield and is (supposedly) the future. Baffling imo, unless his hand isn’t right yet which is even more baffling, why is he named as emergency if so?
Tsatas is so done with us.
Parish will be back soon and I’d be surprised if tsatas managed another 5 senior games for the rest of the season.
His kicking and lack of pace are terminal issues
