I wouldn’t persevere with Prior at all. He’s not up to the standard required of a player in a top 4 club and he never will be, so play someone else who might get to that standard.
Contending. I’m considering what happened over this weekend. Hawks got owned by Port.
That’s why I would consider talking about contending once these teams are comfortably in the 8.
Yeah they will give it serious consideration you’d think
I don’t think it’d be for Bryan though. Goldy to still come in perhaps.
Jones then would be in the gun for 2MP, get him prepped for Anzac Day.
Still not sure they’d think 2MP has enough game time in him from one VFL practice match with 15min quarters. They could always plan to sub him out / manage minutes late
Can’t see us risking playing Goldstein with Draper now that Bryan’s done for the year.
Probably plays minimal vfl to keep his touch but other than that wrap Goldstein in cotton wool in case the unfortunate happens.
Will be interesting. If you bring in 2MP, Draper then goes into ruck, so you are replacing a guy who doesnt really know how to lead, but smashes packs and can take contested marks, for a guy who leads well, but cant take a contested mark.
If ever there is a time for mids to learn how to hit leads, it will start this weekend.
Also note, the vfl was only a practice match and only 15min quarters, so it is a pretty short preperation he would be coming in on
I think Tsatas needs to given games as a priority over Hobbs. Tough but fair unless he fails over next 4 to 5 games. But I’d put him in the middle and see what he can do.
And you can’t drop Shiel after that game but with Caldwell coming in soon and his half back fail he’ll need to keep his form to that level to stay in.
