Changes versus Bin Chickens [spec, some year before 2023]

We’re forced to make 5 late changes to a line up that’s been taking the ■■■■ all season and we come away with a win. I wouldn’t be keen on making wholesale changes to a team that can pull a win out like that.

There’s obvious inclusions (Ridley) but I’d be trying to keep whatever mish mash of players we rolled out last game together for at least one more week.

Aha! Well spotted, I knew there was something wrong with it.

Shiel out - Had enough of him. Missing the goal from directly in front when we really needed it to put us in front was the last straw.
I know its always a big call wanting him out but we are waiting for him to do some great things when we need them done and he has never pulled through. No more waiting.

One tackle does not a footballer make.

Straight out for Ham after a nano- second deliberation.

You’d keep Ham over Cutler??

Oops - mis-read the post.

Cutler was solid last night. stays in.

Ham straight back to the VFL.

Agreed!

We’re forced to make changes to a gameplan that’s been taking the ■■■■ all season.

Rutten had flagged that they were going to play a more aggressive and free flow game style before the Hawks game.

Wasn’t something brought on by the personnel.

Shiel won’t be omitted.

Watching the body language between he and Rutten after last night’s game I was convinced Truck was itching to give him a wristie.

The only changes I think will be Lord, BZT and Ham out.

Ridley comes in for BZT
Durham or Guelfi for Ham
The other Guelfi/Durham to sub

Hind Lav Reid
Hepp Ridley Redman
Mcgrath Merrett Martin
Baldwin Francis Guelfi
Perkins Wright Smith
Fol: Draper Parish Caldwell
Int: Hobbs, Shiel, Bryan, Cutler
Medi sub: Durham

Ridley - zerk
Durham - ham
Waterman - Baldwin (need waterman’s accurate goal kicking interstate)
Guelfi - Lord

I like guelfi and kelly but i like smith’s F50 tackling and the balance of the backline is better without kelly. Ideally you’d have kelly for heppell but it’s not gonna happen. Also cutler’s long kicking on the scg will be handy.

We only played one really good quarter of footy. It was a bit of a scrap the other 3.

Longmire made mention of their slow starts in the presser and I’d expect sydney to come out fired up.

IN l: Ridley, Guelfi, Durham, Kelly
OUT: BZT, Smith, Ham, Bryan
Sub: Smith if he is up to it or Tex if doesn’t clash with VFL ( and he can play the next day)
or Waterman sub

Emg:Smith, Wanganeen, Waterman, Bryan

maybe it should be Baldwin out to keep Bryan in the side

Kelly is a extra defender. And feel we have been playing a extra all season. maybe Redman needs to push up to a wing and Drop cutler? If only Bryza kicked that goal

Edit. No way the AFL will let swans drop 3 on a row

Yeah but the new Sydney don’t play the SCG as well as they used to.

They prefer the bigger grounds

If we play sydney in Sydney like we always do then yes.

The suns and lions both stuck it to em.

Personally I think the swans will win because they are a better side than us.

I don’t mind if sydney beat us comprehensively.

What i will be ■■■■■■ off about is if the maggots gift them goals late to help them win and stifle our momentum.

Though I thought what rutten said about us not dropping our heads after copping some bad decisions is a great step in the right direction

win regardless of bad calls is better than losing a close one.

I highly doubt Smith plays, I’d say they will just resume what was originally intended with his knee strengthening program taking place a week later than anticipated.

Guelfi comes in for him I reckon. Kelly, Ridley and Durham in for BZT, Ham and Baldwin/Bryan.
