Lav wont make or break us. Its gonna come come to our mids being able to stop their mids pumping the ball inside 50 like 80 times.

Is Guefli ready to do a shut down role at Half forward on Dale?
Richards plays mainly on ball so must run hard into defence.
For me it comes down to selection this week - Play Johnson, we win. Play Laverde - we lose. What will Brad do.
Cant see Guefli being fit enough, maybe Martin and Kako combo could try to mimise his impact
Last years jobs Guelfi did on Whitfield & Sicily were key to us winning those games. Probably two of our better wins for the year.

Agree about the mids and Menzie.
My fear with Lav is that we still have some players who are serious disposal risks, especially under pressure, and Lav will add to this list.
Secondly, who will Lav line up on? Any one of their smalls will take him to the cleaners.
Unless they are thinking of playing him up forward - and why would you - I can’t see how he could/would fit in.
Guelfi will ping a hammy chasing Dale around. No thanks not ready.

Nobody ever criticizes his effort or intent. He’s gutsy as all get out. Don’t think that’s ever been questioned.
It’s the skills and defending bit which is a problem.
