Not ideal, but i don’t think it will be the end of the world if Lav is selected.
He’s prone to brain fades with his kicking, but at least he can move the ball quickly if there is a semi-obvious option to do so. Heppell and Kelly last year needed a guy in 25 acres of space before pulling the trigger.
Lav is also still athletic enough to hold his own in a contest with a similar sized opposition player. With Reid and McKay playing, you’d hope he isn’t up against a monster this week.
He offers physicality aswell

Because he’s a liability with football in hand and is unable to compete with most opponents therefore gives away stupid, damaging free kicks.
