Changes vs Bulldogs

Bryan will stay in. Can’t let English dominate given their mids so 2 rucks for mine.

Sunday Arvo to Friday night is not an unheard of turnaround time. They’d just do a bit more recovery and a bit less training during the week.

If any players were being considered for Friday night then they would have been taken off the ground at half time, just like Cox was.

I’m sorry you had to witness it live

Plz Plz Plz drop Weideman. He worked when we had Philips and Draper available but its obvious.

Just bring Voss in until these ruckmen are back. Id trust him to be stronger 1 on 1, he will chase and tackle. Without kicking a goal I still think he brings more to the contest.

Also Id like to say our small forwards especially Guelfi and Snelling are really good forward pressure players but they not really goal sneaks. I know we want to make finals but I think moving Guelfi a bit up the ground and bring in Tex or Davy, tell them to be greedy because right now our Foward line isn’t dangerous enough and opposition backlines are setting up really well against us.

Its worked more than once.
Menzie is doing fine for a player a little over 12 months on a list.

When there are better options to replace any of those 3, they will play.
Presently, there is not.

Doesn’t quite work that way.
Main training session is today.
Thursday is Captains Run.
The typical setup is that you have two full days of recovery after gameday. Any knocks, or soreness need to be known so that you don’t over extend yourself. Most likely, these days are light gym sessions, light football training, debrief from the game, game analysis, etc. So for VFL players that’s today.

Given we only have the one main training session, that’ll be solely for preparing for the way the opposition play. So you need as many hands on deck as possible. Some will still be nursing sorenesses from Saturday night’s game and may be doing some their work in the rehab group as long as they are trusted to get themselves up for it over the next few days before the game.
Given the age and maturity required for that, there’s no one who played VFL capable of being that dilligent.

If anything someone who played on Sunday could be a sub, but you wouldn’t do much more than that.

If this were a Saturday day game, then you could do it a hell of a lot easier. But it’s just too risky for how important it is to get the best out of every player selected for Friday night’s game.

Sub Davey or VOSS out of match in third quarter if gassed.

Voss has lost his confidence playing VFL and you want him playing AFL?

What have we ever done with all that other “invaluable experience” of final losses???

You’re irrational.

You have to make finals to win finals. It’s that ■■■■■■■ simple

Forward line needs some pace and excitement, it’s so vanilla and one paced at the moment, Davey and Wanganeen. Bring them the fck in

who said he lost his confidence?

That’s just not true. Our number one priority is to put together a list and team capable of winning a premiership.

We should play the players we think will be our best team going forwards, and if they’re good enough to make finals, then they’ll play finals. If they’re not, they won’t. Finals are invaluable for good teams with room for improvement. Finals aren’t invaluable for teams who can really stretch themselves and fall into 8th place if their 32 year old journeymen play out of their skin.

Those players aren’t going to become capable of winning a premiership if they don’t get experience playing finals. You’ve completely misunderstood what I am saying. I am not suggesting we play a bunch of 32 year old journeymen instead of young players (not that we have that many anyway). All I am saying is that at this point of the season, in the position we are, finals has to be our goal.

R stands for work rating out of 10.

Reason I hadn’t added Tsatsas was after watching sunday he isn’t quite ready.
Had a ton of the ball but panicked at times and turned it over regularly.

Just needs some more time at VFL. We have other players being made to work for a recall who are realistically ahead of him.

Looking back to Hobbs round 1 VFL match he also had 11 clearances like Tsatas, but 36 disposals 10 marks and 6 tackles. 154 fantasy points.

He was kept in the twos for 3 more rounds.

Baldwin could quite easily slip into Redman’s intercept role. You only need someone with a good set of hands who can deliver the ball.

Our last two losses Redman has gone missing in a very big way. Longmuir and Scott worked out how to shut him down

He go moved to CHF in the last quarter to try and get involved. Wouldn’t be surprised if Scott tried him there if weed gets dropped. Especially knowing you have Baldwin who has been playing well

Well they are playing Friday in VFL as well so will be getting 5 day break regardless.

There is literally no way Baldwin is playing HBF, taking smalls and being up and back on ground the way Redman does. Fantasy land notion.

If Baldwin played it’s for Lav or Zerk only, Ridley at a stretch if we had to but other 3rd tall types better suited
